This page explains how content on CBRLMenu.us is researched, written, and kept accurate. I hold myself to these standards on every article.

How Facts Are Checked

Every price, calorie count, menu item, hour, and policy claim on this site must come from a source I actually checked. My sources, in order of preference:

  1. The official Cracker Barrel website (crackerbarrel.com) — for menu items, descriptions, and company information.
  2. Published nutrition and allergen guides — for calorie counts and dietary information.
  3. Reputable news outlets — for company news, closures, controversies, and executive changes.
  4. Multiple independent menu aggregators — for prices, cross-referenced against each other when the official site doesn’t publish them.

If I can’t verify a fact from a reliable source, I don’t publish it as fact. You’ll see “varies by location,” “check your local restaurant,” or the information left out entirely. I’d rather have a gap than a guess.

Update Frequency

  • Prices and menu items are reviewed regularly. When I learn of a change, I update the affected pages.
  • Seasonal content (Thanksgiving, Christmas, limited-time items) is refreshed 4–6 weeks before the relevant date each year.
  • Evergreen guides (nutrition, careers, history) are reviewed at least once a year.
  • Every article shows a “Last updated” date so you know how fresh the information is.

Corrections Policy

Mistakes happen. When I find one — or when a reader points one out — I fix it promptly and update the article’s date. I don’t silently rewrite history; significant corrections are noted. If you spot an error, please use the contact page. Corrections from readers are genuinely appreciated and help everyone.

No Fake Reviews

I don’t publish fabricated personal experiences, invented quotes, or made-up testimonials. When I describe a dish as good or overrated, it’s based on the consensus of real diner feedback and reputable reviews — not imagination. This site carries no sponsored content disguised as editorial.

Author Standards

Every article on this site is written or directly overseen by Capri, the site owner. Content is written for real people first: direct answers up front, no filler, no keyword stuffing, no AI clichés. If an article doesn’t genuinely help someone, it doesn’t get published.

Independence

This site is not affiliated with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. No brand, advertiser, or third party influences what I write. My loyalty is to the reader looking for honest answers.
